Alyssa is a Senior in high school. She plays guitar and mandolin and sings lead and/or harmony on many of the band's songs. She began her musical bluegrass journey in the Young Appalachian Musicians Program 6 years ago and now enjoys teaching in the YAMS Program weekly.
She enjoys spending time with her Great Grandmother, reading, shopping, cooking and singing.
She loves to listen to "Molly Tuttle" and "Allison Krauss."
Interesting Fact: She built her first guitar at age 16 and plans on getting a business degree upon graduation and studying to become a Luthier.
